Carlos Marán, HERDES Magazine

Fashion editor and editorial coordinator at Ediciones Herdes

Carlos Marán, creative, communication consultant, and art director specialized in fashion and cultural experiences. He works between his role as Fashion Director of HERDES Magazine and his position as Art & Brand Image Director at Sight Models. He has directed BLEND Showroom and leads the new artistic vision for Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada. As an educator at Elisava, LCI, IED, ESCAC, and Blanquerna, he promotes an innovative perspective that unites tradition, contemporaneity, luxury, and culture.

HERDES Magazine, distributed in over 20 countries, seeks to conceptualize a journey to different destinations around the planet, using fashion and culture as a common thread. Sight Models is an agency with a strong international heritage, committed to being at the forefront of the industry (campaigns, runway shows, and editorials). With Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, we are working on updating her aesthetic codes. BLEND Showroom was a space I created and directed for eight years to connect independent designers.

“My approach combines fashion, art, narrative, and performance to build visual universes where brand identity becomes an experience. I aim for students to understand the importance of dialogue between clients and teams, and to recognize that creativity and innovation must always take precedence over commercial focus, all while developing a critical and sensitive eye towards new visual languages.”
