Ivan Pintor
Teaches Audiovisual Culture in the MCDA and Visual Culture in the MINV
With a PhD in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University, Ivan Pintor Iranzo is a professor of Contemporary Cinema Trends, Evolution of Visual Languages, and History of Comics in the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication at UPF, and of Contemporary Crossroads between Film, Television, and Comics in the University Master’s Degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies at UPF.
As a programmer, he has coordinated lecture series for CaixaForum, directed conferences such as “Gesture Mutations in European Cinema” (2012), collaborated with museums and cultural centers like the CCCB (Barcelona Contemporary Culture Center), the Filmoteca de Catalunya, and La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, and has created audiovisual pieces for various museums.
Together with Jordi Balló, he leads the research project “Visual Motifs in the Public Sphere: Production and Circulation of Images of Power in Spain, 2011-2017 (MOVEP),” and is the Project Manager in Spain for the Erasmus+ project “Teseo – Arianna’s Strands in the Digital Age.”
