Pablo Maestres

Filmmaker and photographer

Pablo Maestres began as a photographer in the Barcelona music scene before making the leap to music videos and advertising, working for brands such as Volkswagen, Netflix, Minecraft, and Fanta.
Recognized for his surrealist style, visual precision, and touch of magic realism, his work has been honored at festivals like SXSW, D&AD, YDA Cannes, Ciclope, and the UKMVA, where he won Best UK Pop Video in 2019.

He is currently represented internationally by production companies such as Roma in Spain, Partizan in France, and Superprime in the USA.

“The masterclass approaches the teaching of music videos from a practical and analytical perspective. It first explores key references in the genre, analyzing their concept, narrative, and production. He then shares his own work process: from receiving the initial proposal to post-production, showing real-world examples with varying budget levels, choreographies, and technical approaches. The intention is to provide a view into the real world of music video production and creation.”
