Introduction
Virtual Production has become one of the most relevant transformations of the contemporary audiovisual. The combination of LED screens, 3D engines in real time and hybrid filming techniques is redefining the way of creating contents in cinema, advertising, shows and immersive experiences.
The demand for professionals capable of working in these environments has grown exponentially in the last years, driven by the expansion of VP studios in Europe and especially in Catalonia.
The Postgraduate in Advanced Audiovisual Creation with Virtual Production introduces you to this emerging discipline from a creative, technical and professional perspective.
Throughout the program you will know the specific workflows of VP, you will learn to design, produce and post-produce contents for LED screens and engines in real time, and you will work [on] complete processes of pre-production, production and post-production in professional environments.
The program combines critical vision, technological mastery and intensive practice in real projects, placing the students in the center of one of the areas of greatest growth within the audiovisual.
Values
Technological mastery applied to creativity
The program understands technology as a creative motor. It accompanies the student to master the essential techniques of Virtual Production to integrate them into [their] own and contemporary visual narratives.
Hybridization between the real and the digital
The postgraduate works in a hybrid language that combines real image, virtual environments, 3D engines and advanced camera systems. This coexistence allows [one] to explore new aesthetics and modes of production.
Professional vision of the sector
All sessions are taught from the direct experience of active professionals of the audiovisual industry, bringing the student closer to real practices, roles and dynamics.
Experimental learning and collaborative work
The program is articulated around projects, practice on set, technical exercises and teamwork, replicating the processes that configure a professional set of Virtual Production.
Methodology
The methodology of the postgraduate is based on active learning and on the proximity with the professional environment.
The students work on real projects that go through all the phases of the audiovisual process: conceptual design, creation of contents, planning, filming in VP and final post-production.
This approach is complemented with theoretical sessions, technical exercises, study of cases, masterclasses and personalized tutorials.
he teamwork reproduces the professional structure of a set: direction, photography, VP supervision, creation of content, production and post-production.
The combination of intensive practice and teaching accompaniment provides the student a deep, immersive experience aligned with the reality of the industry.

Study plan
The postgraduate is structured in six subjects that go through all the steps of Virtual Production, from the foundations until the final delivery of professional pieces.
1
Virtual Production
↓
You will master the convergence between real and virtual images using real-time engines and LED screens. You will delve into key technologies such as camera tracking, virtual scouting, and color management. Through professional roles, you will produce commercials on a virtual production set, controlling the entire workflow: from asset creation and pre-production to technical filming.
1.1
Foundations of Virtual Production
→
↓
Introduction to the language, technologies and processes that define Virtual Production. The structural pillars —real image and virtual image—, the traditional vs. virtual flows and the cinematographic principles applied to VP are studied. The student acquires a global vision of the sector and its creative potential.
1.2
Analysis of Real Time Engine
→
↓
Study and practice of engines in real time applied to audiovisual production. Interfaces, workflows and creation of contents for LED screens are worked [on], combining traditional methodologies and AI tools. Includes principles of photography direction in VP and optimization of scenes.
1.3
Technologies of Virtual Production
→
↓
Subject dedicated to the essential technical part of the set: LED screens, tracking systems, motion capture, color management, signal synchronization and virtual scouting. It functions as a professional toolbox to understand and operate all the technical layers that intervene in the filming.
1.4
Pre-production Process
→
↓
The module addresses the complete preparation of an advertising spot developed entirely in Virtual Production. The students create script, technical script, storyboard, design of universes, 3D assets and filming planning. Includes theoretical sessions and practices on set.
1.5
Production and Post-production Process
→
↓
In this module two pieces of 30” are produced in a professional Virtual Production set. The students assume real roles, work with prelight techniques, optimization of assets, shooting board and VP supervision. It is the most practical and experiential block of the program.
1.6
Postgraduate Final Project
→
↓
The TFP consists of the complete post-production of the two pieces created in the previous module. Includes VFX breakdown, design of post-production flow, color grading, compositing, coordination of teams and final mastering.
