“Adios” is the eternal struggle against oneself. The piece shows the protagonist’s internal conflict through his relationship with his shadow, symbolizing a struggle that is impossible to escape. The first sequence presents the protagonist’s danced escape, and as it progresses, we see through his expressions the paranoia he is suffering. The character flees from the rays of light to avoid the projection of his shadow, followed by a chase that unfolds in different spaces, passing through some stairs and a tunnel. This escape leads to a face-to-face encounter with his shadow, where they interact through dance. The pursuit and battle build in crescendo with the music until the shadow and the character touch.

Right after, we enter a moment of introspection where we only see the character standing still, not dancing, which leads to the most dreamlike moment of the piece: the ascent up the stairs. This interlude is a moment of enlightenment and clarity for the character. Far from being a resolution, this dream fades away at the top of the spiral staircase, giving way once again to the chase. This spiral form symbolizes the cyclical nature of the protagonist’s internal conflict, the eternal return of doubt. The character discovers that trying to escape is futile and that he must accept his past and take control of his own destiny.
