Teaches Moving Drawings

Graduated in Art and Design (UAB) and holding a Higher Degree in Illustration (Escola Massana), I am an art director and animation director. Some of my works have been screened at internationally renowned institutions such as the San Francisco Cinematheque, Anthology Film Archives in New York, and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid.
I develop film outreach projects for cultural institutions such as Matadero Madrid, Museu Tàpies, CCCB, and LAV Madrid, and I have participated as a speaker at art education centers such as the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Technical and graphic language hybridization is one of the defining features of the studio I share with illustrator and animator Pepon Meneses. Another is the exploration of sound and music as narrative drivers. Our work has received several recognitions, including the Junceda Illustration Award in the animation category in multiple editions, as well as prizes at experimental non-narrative film festivals such as the Visual Music Award in Gelnhausen (2017) and Dérapage Montréal (2021). Another of our current areas of interest is documentary animation.

“I try to convey to our students how movement and sound can be powerful allies when proposing original or new solutions in illustration assignments—not as additions, but as a different place from which to approach the genesis of an image.”
